These Masterclasses are a unique opportunity to enjoy an entirely immersive experience in Kenneth Webb’s studio and his garden retreat, designed entirely to inspire him and his paintings.
At the first evening meeting, each individual’s goals will be identified and a personalised painting programme designed. During our time together we will focus upon achieving your goals, gliding over your stumbling blocks and embracing your art outlook a-new. Post-course care is also offered.
Arranged by request on a One-to-One (or two) basis. Please call for details.
Upon booking your class, you will receive one month’s FREE access to the extensive library Susan’s livestream provides. This includes several hundred hours of recorded instruction covering oils, acrylics, watercolour, and mixed media.
WhatsApp Support: The School actively uses WhatsApp to provide on-going support with online classes, allowing participants to link directly with the tutor for critiques and advice.
Your tutor, Susan Webb, has 45 years experience tutoring in the Irish School of Landscape Painting, which was founded by her parents in 1957. She has taught a wide range of ages – from children to those in their 90s – with a wide range of ability levels. She genuinely loves leading these groups, gaining much from the camaraderie and idea-exchange that is generated.
Susan is a most accomplished artist herself. She is represented in London by Gladwell and Patterson, in Galway by Kennys Art Gallery, in Clifden by Whitethorns Art Gallery, and in Dublin by the Trinity Gallery. She is known for a variety of landscapes, seascapes, flower paintings, as well as for her equestrian work.
Media Experience: Susan was the art experts for Ireland on Channel 4’s Watercolour Challenge in the 1990s. This experience helped her transition the school to advanced online classes during the pandemic, utilizing green screens and multiple camera angles to support students remotely.
The Irish School of Landscape Painting has been teaching Art for over 65 years for all levels from beginner to professional. Kenneth Webb, the founder, still has an active hand even at almost 99 years of age, although his daughter Susan now does most of the teaching.
